Eva Todorut: Dear Casa da Educação, I will try to describe in few words, the experience that we lived here in Lisbon, Portugal. I have participated in this project as tutor teacher for 8 students, vocational training – specialising in handball. It's the second experience of this kind, the first time being two years ago. If this project two years ago was unknown do me, this time I can say that I reinforced the belief that this project is a success. Here we discovered wonderful people, who did all their best to make us feel comfortable and learn new exciting things as well as to benefit of training in a different environment from the one we were used to. All the people we met here, are all professionals, and the sport facilities are amazing. The work programme was a balanced one. One of the technical visits was the Lisbon Handball Association, where we learned many interesting things. During the technical visit to the Portuguese federation of Handball, the general secretary Pedro Sequeira, kindly showed us the Federation and all the departments and present a short history of the Portuguese handball. Our visit to the Federation didn't remain anonymous, because after that they posted on the Federation site an article about us. The students' technical programme contained also a visit to FMH-UL Sports University, Training Centre of Jamor, IPDJ Portuguse Institute of Sports and Youth, Benfica Stadium and Museum, Sporting Stadium and Museum. Two of the most beautiful experiences was participating in the Sports Day and MiniMarathon Rock'n'Roll. The students were excited to learn new things from other sports and participate to minimarathon competition in which we all victorious.
Through the wonderful experiences have included to the possibility of watching two football games, one of Benfica and one of Sporting. In the games, the atmosphere was one incendiary. Besides the sport training, the students were delighted do have the possibility to visit the great tourist attraction and historical sites of Lisbon: Lisboa Story Center, Triumph Arch, St. Jorge Castle, Sintra- Quinta da Regaleira, Cristo Rei, Cabo da Roca, Boca do Inferno, Cascais, Lisbon Zoological Garden, Oceanarium and Telecabine Lisboa. We are very grateful to our host Casa da Educação, for the perfect timming and organization of the programmes, for your hospitality and attention, during this stage of the project development. We will miss you… Thank you Rosário, Ana, other Ana, lot of kisses. With friendship, Eva Todorut, Liceul Teoretic "Traian Vuia", Resita, Romania."

Eva Todorut: "This project it´s a unique chance to gain training and work experience in a foreign country and allows young people to acquire new competences and professional skills, but also to develop specific abilities to adapt to a new linguistic, cultural and professional environment.
I have participated in this project as tutor teacher for 8 students in the 10th grade specialising in handball, vocational training. Being the first experience of such kind, I was a little bit worried about the fact that I was not sure how the things would go on, but when we got here, we discovered wonderful people in an extraordinary city, who did all their best to make us feel comfortable and learn new exciting things, as well as to benefit of training in a very different environment from the one we were used to. The people we met here are all professionals, very well trained and the sports facilities are amazing.
Moreover we had the chance to participate in the 9th Technical-Scientific Congress of Handball held la Lisbon between 23rd –24th of June 2012, where thanks to the Portuguese Federation of Handball, our students have been involved in the practical in activity of the Congress. It was a beneficial experience for the students as well as for me as a teacher. During the technical visit to the Portuguese Federation of Handball, the general secretary Pedro Sequeira, kindly showed to us the headquarter of the federation with all its departments and a short history of the Portuguese Handball. Our visit to the Federation didn't remain anonymous, because after that they posted on the federation site an article about our school and us.
The students' programme contained also a visit to the Sporting Club in Lisbon, where we were welcome by Fernando Nunes, a great Portuguese ex-handball player as well as by the Romanian handball player Daniel Muresan, who is playing now for this club.
Besides the sport training the students were delighted to have the possibility to visit the great tourist attractions and historical vestiges of Lisbon. We are very much grateful to our host "Casa da Educação", for the perfect timing and organization of programmes during this stage of the project development."
Claudiu Lupitu: "My name is Claudiu Lupitu and I am one of the many Sports teachers in Resita. The moment we found out that we would be part of this project I was very excited and nervous because I wasn't sure what to expect as it's my first experience of such proportion. But, fortunately, this worry faded out the moment we arrived in Lisbon, met our hosts and all the people involved in this project. Our hosts Rosario Pires and Sandra Costa welcomed us gladly and warmly and they presented us the schedule in the project development.
The representative of F.P.A. made a great impression on us, as well as Mr. Carlos Santos who showed us the training centre from Jamor, a centre with the latest training facilities. Mr. Carlos Santos. Explained to us the internal organisation of F.P.A. as well as a special project "MEGA SPRINTER", a project of selection at national level, which supports the development of athletics in Portugal, sport renown at international level.
Besides the exquisite training centres, I have been also been impressed by the devotion and the passion of the teachers of athletics. They mentioned that the facilities are on the second place, prevailing the human and professional quality of coaches and trainers. They have been trying with each training activity to instil in their students the desire to win, to surpass their limitations and finally, the feeling of national pride, which impressed us a lot.
Our students have trained gladly and heartily together with great athletes, European and Olympic champions. They proved to be very good communicators, too, with impeccable behaviour, becoming role models in life and career for our students. All in all, it was also a fantastic experience for us as teachers, and I hope to be able to begin the project "MEGA SPRINTER", if not at national level, at least at county level. A lot of thanks to our hosts for their honesty and patience, as well as to all the officials and the institutions involved in this project."
